Secret Santa Without Email

Some groups do not want to hand over a list of email addresses just to draw names. This generator skips that step entirely: you add names, draw once, and share private links through whatever channel you already use.

Start a Secret SantaHow exclusions work

No email collection, by design

The form asks for participant names only. There is no invitation flow, no “enter your friends’ emails” step, and no reminder emails. That keeps the tool simple and means there is no mailing list to leak, sell, or accidentally reuse next year.

Instead, the organizer receives a private management link. That page lists every participant with a copy button for their individual reveal link. You can paste those links into a group chat, a direct message, or your own email draft.

How the reveal links work

Each link contains a long random token. The token maps to exactly one assignment, so a participant who opens their link sees only their own match. There is no public results page and no way to browse other people’s assignments from the organizer view.

Sharing without an email address

Most groups already have a chat thread. Post a short message asking everyone to open their own link privately, or send each link one-to-one. Because the link is the credential, treat it like a party invitation: share it only with the person it belongs to.

If someone loses their link, the organizer can open the management page and copy it again. There is no password reset because there is no account — the organizer link itself is the recovery mechanism.

Good fit for privacy-conscious groups

Classes, volunteer teams, and extended families often prefer not to compile contact lists. This workflow needs nothing more than the names that will appear in the draw. When the exchange is over, the data expires on its own.

Frequently asked questions

Does this Secret Santa generator send emails?

No. It never asks for an email address and does not send invitations or reminders. The organizer copies each participant’s private link and shares it however they like.

How do participants find out who they drew?

Each participant receives a unique reveal link. Opening it shows only their own assignment, along with the budget and exchange date if you set them.

Can I still use it if my group uses email to communicate?

Yes. You can send the private links through your normal email or chat client yourself. The tool simply does not collect addresses or send messages on your behalf.

What information is stored?

Participant names, optional event details, exclusions, and hashed access tokens. No email addresses, passwords, or wishlists. Events expire after 90 days.
