For work
Secret Santa for Work
An office exchange should take minutes to organize, not a committee. Add the team, set a budget, draw names, and send each person a private link. No accounts, no email list, and no app installation for coworkers.
A simple office workflow
- Paste the team roster into the participant field.
- Set a budget everyone agreed on, plus the exchange date.
- Add exclusions for managers and direct reports, or for pairs who already exchange gifts.
- Draw names and copy the participant links from the organizer page.
- Share each link privately in chat.
The organizer page never displays the full assignment map. It lists participants and their links only, so an organizer can distribute links without learning who drew whom — useful if the organizer also participates.
Works for remote and hybrid teams
Remote teams do not need a shared physical hat. Each participant opens their own reveal link from wherever they are, sees the name, budget, and exchange date, and keeps the result private. There is nothing to install and no meeting required.
Because links are private rather than public, there is no results page a colleague could stumble onto. The organizer shares links one-to-one or in a group chat, and each person sees only their own match.
What this tool does not do
To keep the workflow honest and lightweight, the generator does not include Slack or Teams integration, automated email reminders, calendar invites, CSV export, or a company directory. It also does not manage wishlists or gift shipping. Those features are not available today, and the tool does not pretend otherwise.
If your team needs reminders, the organizer can send a normal chat message asking everyone to open their link. Since there is no account system, that reminder is manual by design.
Handling sensitive pairings
Office exchanges sometimes need care. Use exclusions to keep managers away from direct reports, or to avoid pairing people who have asked not to exchange. Exclusions are visible only to the organizer while setting up the draw; participants see only their own result.
For larger teams, remember that every exclusion reduces the available pairings. If the draw becomes impossible, the generator will say so and ask you to remove a rule.
Privacy for workplace data
The tool stores names and optional event details only. No work email addresses, job titles, or employee IDs are required. Links use long random tokens, only hashes are stored, and events expire after 90 days.
Start an office draw when your team is ready.
Frequently asked questions
Is this office Secret Santa free?
Yes, the generator is free today. There is no paid tier required to create a draw or share reveal links.
Does it integrate with Slack, Teams, or email?
No. There are no integrations, bots, or automated reminders. The organizer copies each private link and shares it in the team chat or by direct message.
Can I export the matches as a spreadsheet?
Not currently. The organizer page provides copy buttons for individual links and a “copy all links” action, which is enough for most teams.
How many coworkers can join?
Between 2 and 100 participants per exchange.
Can we prevent managers and reports from drawing each other?
Yes. Add an exclusion for that pair. The mutual checkbox applies the rule in both directions.
